I wrote this on Christmas Eve one year on the way to work. Finally got around to recording it.

Well they got me at work on the day before Christmas
opening presents with family will have to wait
I'm working till late
and Santa brings gifts on a sleigh once a year
your wife sheds a tear cos she didn't get what she wants
and that's somehow your fault

and snow will fall

They gave us a turkey the size of a tire
the tree looks so pretty with tacky tinsel lights so bright
like a star in the night

and we stuff our faces with biscuits and chocolate
grandma's aslee cos she drank too much brandy again
but its not even 10 (am)

and snow will fall

on Christmas Day the wise men say
come home
